Who we are

The GMG Facility Kenya is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DfID - https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/department-for-international-development).
The Agence Française de Développement (AFD - http://www.afd.fr/lang/en/home) is the implementing partner for the Facility. AFD has strong regional experience in managing programmes
aimed at promoting renewable energy resources and energy efficiency, such as the SUNREF Programme (https://www.sunref.org/en/).

Innovation Energie
Développement (IED - http://www.ied-sa.fr/index.php/en/) is the managing entity and in partnership with I-DEV (http://idevinternational.com/) and
Practical Action Consulting (PAC - http://practicalaction.org/consulting), responsible for the implementation of the Facility.

•    IED has in-depth and longstanding technical knowledge, programme development and extensive expertise in the field of green mini grids and access to energy.
•    I-DEV International is a management strategy & investment advisory firm focused on building competitive, viable businesses in emerging markets around the world. A team of experts will
     provide investment advice to support the development of the grant programme as well as provide investment advice specific to the needs of each private sector fund recipient.  
•    PAC is the consulting arm of the international NGO Practical Action. PAC has over thirty years’ experience in the energy access sector in Kenya and other developing countries and brings
      into the consortium a focus on social and gender inclusion and community engagement.
